Colonial America

Students are learning about life in Colonial America. Here they are creating a Venn diagram to compare and contrast then and now. They have especially enjoyed information about the rules for children during that time period. For example, children could not sit with their legs crossed!

Snow Day Surprise!!

We had a snow day this week, and one of our students used her time to bake a surprise for our class! To go along with our Colonial America unit of study, she baked and decorated a cake to show the original 13 colonies!

Winter Work

Peace Poems
We discussed the concept of peace and brainstormed symbols of peace. We shared what peace looks like, sounds like, and feels like for each of us. Then, we composed our Peace Poems and published them on doves.

 Snowman Glyphs
Glyphs are pictorial representations of information. Students created snowmen using specific criteria. Then, we graped the class information.

Multiplication: We are learning about different ways to solve multiplication problems.
